Job Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Fleet Coordinator with a strong mechanical background to oversee fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and repair coordination.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal vehicle performance, minimizing downtime, monitoring repairs, and coordinating daily fleet activities efficiently.
The successful candidate must possess hands-on technical knowledge of vehicle systems, preventive maintenance, and fleet management processes.


Key Responsibilities


Coordinate and monitor daily fleet operations to ensure smooth transportation activities.
Supervise vehicle repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Conduct regular inspections on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and operational efficiency.
Track vehicle performance, maintenance records, fuel usage, and repair history.
Diagnose basic mechanical issues and liaise with technicians/workshops for effective repairs.
Ensure timely servicing and maintenance of all fleet vehicles to reduce downtime.
Monitor drivers and ensure compliance with vehicle usage and maintenance policies.
Coordinate breakdown response and emergency vehicle repairs when necessary.
Maintain proper documentation of repairs, maintenance schedules, licenses, and fleet records.
Work closely with vendors, mechanics, and external service providers for quality maintenance services.
Monitor operational costs and recommend cost-saving measures for fleet efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company operational standards.
Prepare periodic fleet and maintenance reports for management review.


Requirements


HND / B.Sc.Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Transport Management, or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in fleet coordination, fleet maintenance, or transport operations.
Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of trucks, vehicles, and fleet systems.
Ability to monitor and coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance effectively.
Good understanding of preventive maintenance planning and fleet documentation.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet tracking/reporting systems is an added advantage.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple fleet activities simultaneously.


Salary
N200,000 - N280,000 Monthly.
