Job Summary
Responsible for the setup, maintenance, refurbishment, quality assurance, and security of the fleet within their jurisdiction, ensuring all MAX assets receive routine maintenance and that vehicle refurbishment is completed within approved time and cost limits while maintaining the required quality standards
Key Responsibilities
Test vehicles before maintenance to ascertain the level of repair to be carried out
Follow up the process of repair to ensure that spare parts appropriated for maintenance work is utilized judiciously.
Work with the vehicle maintenance manager to improve on checklists and maintenance routines
Periodically visit Authorized Service Workshops to confirm that maintenance work is carried out according to MAX routines and standards.
Inspect/Test Vehicles after maintenance to ensure that the needed repairs are carried out.
Vehicle Refurbishment:
Support in the assessment of vehicles using the pre-assessment checklist before refurbishment is carried out to ascertain the level of damage
Inspect spare parts which are to be used for refurbishment purposes to ensure it meets the requirements
Inspect/Test vehicles after refurbishment using the post-assessment checklist to confirm the vehicles are refurbished to set standards
Guide technicians on maintenance best practices.
Administrative Function:
Ensure job cards are filled out for every vehicle brought into the facility for maintenance/refurbishment.
Conduct frequent training of technicians.
Requirements
Education:
Minimum of OND in any Engineering discipline.
Mechanical Engineering is preferred
2 Years cognate experience as a vehicle technician or 2 years experience in fleet management.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and communication(written and oral) skills
Good understanding of Inventory Control principles and practices
Proficient in MS Office/Google Workspace
Good understanding of fleet management
Critical and Analytical thinking Accuracy and Attention to detail
Confidentiality and Thoroughness.
