What you'll do


Manage customer experience and engagement
Fresh Foods people leadership, development, management and administration
Fresh Foods P&L management and reporting
Fresh Foods merchandising, pricing and promotional activity
Fresh Foods stock availability, quality, rotation and loss prevention (money and stock)
Fresh Foods housekeeping and compliance with health & safety, food safety and supermarket operational company policy and procedures
Oversee staff scheduling and WFM edits to ensure operational standards are met whilst simultaneously ensuring effective cost management
Accountable for wastage management
Ensure adherance to recipes, productions plans
Expense management and control
Maintain service levels and operational standards
Report analysis and actioning thereof
Management and overseeing of promotional activity
Account for stock/ingredient stock ledger accuracies, investigate stock ledger discrepancies together with the Stock Admin, identify the cause of shrinkage lines and problem solve to reduce those shrinkage lines


What you bring

Requirements


Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
Retail Management diploma or equivalent (Desirable)
Two years or more supervisory experience in a retail environment (Fresh produce) with exposure to the Supermarket procedures (Essential)
Driver's Licence (Essential)
Computer literate - MS Office Basic, Supermarket systems and technologies


Knowledge and understanding of:


Store operations management, promotional planning, merchandising, and stock handling principles
Financial management and reporting - sales target, profitability and budget planning & control
Food Safety & hygiene and the OHSA
Building a culture of trust and respect
Learning agiliity
Customer obsession
Ability to deliver results with integrity
Quality orientation with strong attention to detail
A commercial way of thinking with good problem solving skills
Ability to lead, direct and build a high performing team by coaching and developing others
Listed above are minimum requirements to perform this role.
Willingness to work retail hours is a standard minimum requirement for supermarket roles
