Job Purpose
To issue fuel according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security protocols while supporting the traffic office with accurate on-site vehicle tracking. The Fuel Controller is responsible for managing fuel losses to standard levels and maintaining station safety through ESG compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Fuel Issuance & Monitoring: Issue fuel to vehicles according to SOPs, ensuring accurate mileage capture and liter recordings.
Inventory Management: Receive fuel from vendors through established SOPs, carry out daily fuel dipping, and order fuel to ensure no stock-outs.
Yard Operations: Conduct regular yard walks to ensure all vehicles are recorded in the traffic office.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain station safety through ESG standards, ensuring minimum spillage and high fuel quality.
Performance Tracking: Ensure truck fuel KPIs are tracked, achieved, and reported accurately.
Administration: Manage all documentation related to fuel inventory audits and re-fueling records.
Required Competencies and Experiences
Education: Bachelor's degree level (Essential).
Experience: Proven experience in administration within a logistics or transport environment (Essential).
Professional Qualification: Certification by the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Traffic Act and its specific application to fleet management.
Financial Literacy: Competency in finance and accounting literacy related to inventory and fuel tracking.
Software Proficiency: Strong computer and software skills for data administration.
