Functional Manual Tester (Junior, Intermediate, Specialist , Consultant) at GVA Partners

Duties & Responsibilities


Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests
Develop performance testing scripts and scenarios
Analyze system bottlenecks and performance issues
Produce performance reports and optimization recommendations
Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to resolve issues
Monitor application response times and system stability
Support release readiness and non-functional testing activities
Maintain testing documentation and reports
Demonstrated experience in enterprise-scale IT or digital environments
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and delivery timelines
Familiarity with testing tools, monitoring tools, and enterprise systems
Understanding of scalability, reliability, and operational performance concepts
Familiarity with deployment and testing environments
Experience designing and executing performance testing scenarios
Understanding of defect tracking and root cause analysis
Experience validating systems against non-functional requirements
Ability to produce test reports and performance analysis documentation
Strong discipline in testing governance and reporting
Awareness of secure testing and operational practices
Understanding of logging and monitoring requirements
Ability to support multiple testing cycles and projects
Ability to quickly understand new systems and applications
Understanding of scalability, security, reliability, and performance considerations
Ability to follow coding and documentation standards.


Qualifications & Experience Required


Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Design, Business, or equivalent)
4 - 15+ years of relevant professional experience depending on role level (Junior, Intermediate, Specialist, or Consultant)
Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage
Must have completed NYSC
Demonstrated experience working in enterprise-scale digital, IT, or technology environments
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), and cross-functional collaboration
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
