The requirements for this position are:
A suitable professional teaching qualification in the appropriate subject area from a recognised institution
A proven teaching record and appropriate experience, including Grade 8-12 Life Sciences teaching
Excellent knowledge of CAPS and IEB SAGS
Previous experience in an IEB school would be an advantage, as would experience in IEB Matric marking
A sound and progressive understanding of international trends in girls' education and 21st century learning
Knowledge in creating varied and innovative learning programmes and assessments.
Good planning and organisational skills with an ability to evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
The ability to create and sustain relationships with students and colleagues in our College environment
An unequivocal commitment to team teaching in a busy school
Willingness to embrace rapid changes in education, and an interest and ability to integrate ICT and technology into teaching and learning
A commitment to our pastoral care and leadership programmes
A commitment to on-going personal and professional development
Proof of registration with SACE supported by a sexual offender's clearance certificate
A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College as well as to participate in the broader life of the school, including
extramural activities.
