Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive General Construction Foreman to oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising multiple trades, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers and subcontractors across various trades
Plan, organize, and oversee daily site operations
Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans
Ensure all work is executed according to design, quality standards, and timelines
Monitor progress and provide regular updates to project managers
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site
Resolve work-related issues, conflicts, and technical challenges promptly
Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower efficiently
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
Train, mentor, and evaluate site workers
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years' experience in construction, with at least 2 - 3 years in a supervisory/foreman role
Strong knowledge of general construction processes, methods, and materials
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
Proven leadership and team management skills
Solid understanding of workplace health and safety regulations
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
HND, OND, or Bachelor's degree in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Relevant professional certifications in construction or site supervision.
Experience managing large-scale or multi-disciplinary construction projects.
Familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems.
