Job Summary
Take full accountability for daily operations of a plastics packaging manufacturing facility. Drive professional discipline, high-urgency performance, and adherence to process standards while managing the entire manufacturing lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily plastic packaging manufacturing: blown film extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and converting.
Optimize OEE by identifying bottlenecks and implementing downtime reduction strategies.
Minimize material scrap and maximize raw material yields.
Ensure facility compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory mandates.
Manage warehouse efficiency, inventory integrity, and finished goods logistics.
Enforce QA/QC protocols for food-safe and industrial packaging.
Conduct root cause analyses to reduce defects and customer rejections.
Cultivate a performance-driven culture with accountability at all levels.
Create, document, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Manage factory OPEX and utility consumption within approved budgets.
Partner with HR on workforce productivity and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial), Polymer Science, or related field. MBA preferred.
Experience: 10 - 15 years in manufacturing operations, with 5+ years in senior management within a plastics packaging environment in Nigeria/West Africa.
Technical: Expert knowledge of extrusion, injection/blow molding, polymer characteristics, and packaging quality standards.

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and 5S methodologies.
Proven change leadership and cultural transformation.
Strong communication and stakeholder influence.
