Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) / NCV level 4 or equivalent.
1-2 years general worker experience in tourism/ hospitality environment.
Drivers' License will be an added advantage.
Chainsaw & Brush cutter competency as an added advantage.
Communication skills both Written and Verbal.
Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
Knowledge of how to use cleaning tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Basic understanding of customer service principles to interact politely and professionally with guests.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Must be willing to work weekends, public holidays, and varying shifts as required by the hospitality industry.
Knowledge of First Aid will be added as advantage.
Responsibilities
Clean and maintain guest accommodation facilities, including changing bed linen, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing furniture, and emptying waste bins.
Perform routine cleaning of visitor areas, such as ablution facilities, picnic sites, day visitor areas, and braai sites.
Provide excellent customer service by managing guest expectations and addressing their needs professionally.
Handle laundry and linen management, including collecting, sorting, delivering, and following proper clean linen procedures.
Maintain cleaning standards and controls by using cleaning materials responsibly and adhering to hygiene requirements.
Assist with maintenance and safety duties, including minor repairs relating to buildings; roads and infrastructure, refuse removal, and reporting defects.
Comply with all health and safety procedures, including use of PPE, chemical handling, and hygiene protocols.
Help with event setup (guided walks, braai areas, educational activities)
Maintain facility cleanliness and operations by keeping viewpoints and picnic areas clean, completing daily inspections, and assisting with inventory control of supplies and guest amenities.
