Role Summary
HRLeverage Africa, the leading Pan-African workforce management is seeking an experienced Global Trade, Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor for our client that operates in the international trade / wholesale trading sector — sourcing, importing and exporting a variety of goods globally.
The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end international logistics and trade operations. Also ensure smooth, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across borders while leading an operational team and coordinating with global partners.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee import/export operations and ensure compliance with global trade laws and customs regulations.
Manage trade documentation (Invoices, Packing Lists, BL/AWB, COO, LC documents, HS Codes, etc.).
Coordinate international freight (air, sea, road, rail) and monitor shipment schedules, delivery, and costs.
Supervise and guide logistics officers and trade coordinators.
Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
Track KPIs — on-time delivery, clearance lead time, cost variance, and compliance rate.
Support process improvement and cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications (an advantage) CSCP, CITP, FIATA Diploma, or Customs/Trade Compliance Certification.
3 - 5 years hands-on experience in international logistics, supply chain, or global trade operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of Incoterms®, customs procedures, and international documentation.
Proficiency in ERP or logistics systems and MS Excel.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
