Key Responsibilities
The Trainee Architect shall support the design, technical documentation, and production coordination of furniture projects.
The role focuses on assisting senior architects and production teams to ensure accurate drawings, efficient production processes, and adherence to design and quality standards.
Assist in preparing furniture drawings, layouts, and shop drawings for production.
Support the development of technical details, material specifications, and finishes.
Revise drawings and documents based on feedback from production, management, or clients.
Coordinate with the factory and production teams to ensure drawings are clear and buildable.
Assist in resolving basic design or technical issues during the production process.
6. Support in maintaining proper documentation and version control of drawings.
7. Conduct basic checks to ensure furniture is produced according to approved drawings and specifications.
Assist in preparing B.O.M / 3D, cutting lists, and basic schedules where required.
Assist senior architects/designers in day-to-day design and coordination tasks.
Support quality control checks during production and installation when required.
Maintain organized project records and drawing archives (AutoCAD / system folders).
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply)
0-1 years of experience (training / internship experience is an advantage)
Interest in furniture design, production, and manufacturing processes
Attention to quality, detailing, and standards
Ability to work in a factory-based and fast-paced environment
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and keen to develop practical skills in furniture design and production.
Skill Set / Competencies:
Basic understanding of architectural and furniture drawings
Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
Knowledge of SketchUp, or other 3D software is an added advantage
Basic understanding of furniture materials such as wood, laminates, metal, and finishes
Attention to detail and accuracy in drawings
Willingness to learn and adapt to factory and production environments
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Soft skills/personality: proactive, eager learner, detail-oriented
Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
High level of integrity is a must have.
