About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee (Environmental Specialist) to join our environmental services team.
The successful candidate will receive practical exposure to environmental consulting, field inspections, environmental sampling, laboratory-related activities, environmental data analysis, compliance monitoring and technical report preparation.
This role is suitable for a graduate who has a strong interest in Chemistry and Environmental Services and is willing to learn, work both in the office and in the field, and develop a professional career in environmental consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with environmental assessments, inspections and field studies.
Support environmental sampling, data collection and analysis.
Assist with laboratory activities and environmental monitoring.
Support environmental reporting, audits and compliance documentation.
Assist with ETP monitoring and other environmental consultancy projects.
Prepare and maintain project records, reports and other technical documentation.
Support the Environmental Specialist and project team in client and field assignments.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Science, Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Environmental Biology, Health Education or a related field.
Candidates must have a strong Chemistry-related academic background.
NYSC completion is required.
Computer literacy is mandatory, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Good communication, analytical and report-writing skills.
Ability to collect, analyse and evaluate environmental data.
Willingness to participate in fieldwork, environmental inspections, sampling and site assignments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong interest in environmental consultancy, compliance, pollution control and sustainability.
Previous internship or practical experience in an environmental, laboratory or related setting is an advantage.
