The purpose of this position is to perform basic maintenance tasks, including elementary plumbing repairs and general upkeep, to ensure facilities, equipment, and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
Experience in working with senior management
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety protocols
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Work in extreme conditions
Basic tool experience

Duties and Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair pipes, valves, fixtures
Work with various types of pipes, including copper, pvc, polycorp and galvanized.
Install couplers up to 200 mm pvc pipes
Use various tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, drills, and wrenches.
Diagnose and repair plumbing faults including leaks, blockages, and drainage issues using jetting machines and cameras
Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely.
Provide clear documentation of work completed using job management systems.
Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
Follow safety protocols and regulations.
