Job Summary


We're looking for a visionary Head of Colleague Marketing & Communications—a leader who can transform every colleague into a brand ambassador and shape an exceptional internal brand experience that drives pride, engagement, and advocacy.
In this executive role, you will architect and lead the strategy that connects our people to our purpose, amplifies authentic employee voices, and builds a culture where colleagues actively champion the organisation.
You will partner closely with Human Capital, Brand, and Client Expansion to create a unified, inspiring colleague experience across all touchpoints


Job Description

Strategy & Engagement


Build and deliver a bold colleague marketing strategy aligned to our purpose, EVP, and business goals.
Design and scale employee advocacy programmes, colleague storytelling, and immersive culture experiences.
Create governance, toolkits, and training to ensure consistent brand expression across the business.


Authentic Advocacy & Storytelling


Bring colleague stories to life through high-impact content and campaigns.
Elevate the internal brand to strengthen trust, belonging, and engagement.
Position the organisation as an employer of choice through standout talent communications.


Data‑Driven Impact


Use analytics, sentiment insights, and engagement metrics to optimise programmes.
Demonstrate measurable business and brand impact through performance insights.


Stakeholder Leadership


Build strategic partnerships across Human Capital, Brand, and Business Development.
Influence senior leaders on culture transformation and colleague engagement priorities.
Lead a multidisciplinary team of strategists, creatives, and digital specialists.


Innovation & Digital Enablement


Champion digital adoption, emerging MarTech tools, and AI‑enabled engagement.
Lead digital storytelling and personalised communication across platforms.


Operational & Risk Excellence


Establish governance frameworks ensuring brand, regulatory, and compliance alignment.
Embed agile ways of working, optimise operational processes, and manage budgets effectively.


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (NQF 7 required).
Postgraduate degree advantageous.
Certifications in digital marketing, AI, or Employee Advocacy beneficial.


Experience


12 - 15 years in senior marketing, communications, or strategic brand roles in large enterprises.
5+ years of people leadership experience.
Strong B2B experience—ideally in financial services, fintech, SaaS, consulting, or other high‑trust sectors.
Proven track record delivering integrated marketing, internal brand, or ABM programmes at scale.
Experience running large‑scale events, digital platforms, budgets, and external vendors.
