As custodian of the group's numbers, the role holder will drive financial discipline, cost governance, and operational accountability across all subsidiaries, serving as a key liaison between finance and business unit leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the GED-F and Group Executive Committee, and coordinate preparation of annual financial statements for external audit and statutory filing.
Lead the group's annual budgeting process from inception to Board approval, developing the medium-term (3-5 year) financial plan and enforcing a structured budget calendar across all subsidiaries.

Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits, coordinating audit deliverables across the group.
Oversee cost accounting and cost control for the group's manufacturing and operational entities, implementing standard costing for steel production and mining, analyzing production costs and efficiency variances, and partnering with supply chain and engineering on cost reduction.
Oversee overhead allocation methodologies across shared service functions, ensuring equitable and transparent cost distribution to business units.
Oversee the group's CAPEX planning, approval, and tracking, ensuring proposals are supported by rigorous NPV, IRR, and payback analysis, monitoring execution against budget, and leading post-completion CAPEX reviews.
Oversee the group's fixed asset register, depreciation policy, periodic physical verification, and accounting for disposals, impairments, write-offs, and revaluations in line with IAS 16, IAS 36, and IFRS 5.
Serve as finance's lead on ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), driving automation of reporting and consolidation processes and ensuring data integrity between operational systems and the general ledger.
Lead, mentor, and develop the financial control and budgeting team, standardizing reporting and budgeting processes across subsidiary finance teams and fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
