Position Description
The Head, Internal Control will be responsible for ensuring a strong internal control environment through the development of policies and procedures andensuring their implementation and monitoring compliance.
The position will work to foster standardization and consistency across the company's business processes and internal controls.
Responsibilities
Deliver timely reporting on the internal control framework and control deficiencies
Initiate action plans,monitor progress to address and resolve control deficiencies
Actively engage with internal and external auditors to ensure resolution of all relevantaudit finding.
Spot, assess and address risksand translate it into impact analysis
Initiate and develop control policies.
Qualification
B.Sc/HND in Accounting
ICAN qualification is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years practical experience of which must be from manufacturing companies
Qualities:
A critical thinker and highly organized.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer literate with ability to navigate the entire platforms of Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding and experience with internal control frameworks *
Strong oral and written communication skills
Sound presentationskills.
Skill Set:
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Attention to details
Leadership skills.
