Role Description
The Head of Audit is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for leading the internal audit function and ensuring robust financial and operational controls across the station.
This role oversees audit planning, execution, and reporting, including reviewing financial records, assessing risk, and evaluating internal control systems.
The Head of Audit will design and implement audit methodologies, monitor compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable standards, and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
Day-to-day tasks include supervising audit team members, coordinating with finance and accounting teams, preparing clear audit reports, and presenting findings and action plans to senior management.
The role also involves supporting strategic decision-making by providing insights on risk management, efficiency, and governance.
Qualifications
Strong auditing and internal controls skills, with experience designing, implementing, and reviewing audit frameworks.
Solid finance and accounting skills, including an understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and regulatory requirements.
Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make sound recommendations.
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA, and a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in an audit leadership role, preferably within media, broadcasting, or a similar dynamic industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a high level of integrity and ethical judgment.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to mentor, coach, and develop audit staff.
At least 8 - 10 Years of experience
