SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) is the leading independent provider of accredited Psychology, Counselling, Human Resource Management, Business Management and Social Work qualifications, with all courses grounded in psychology. We have campuses in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Online.
SACAP is looking to permanently employ a Head of Faculty for Education.
This role is responsible for leading the establishment and strategic development of SACAP's new Faculty of Education.
The Head of Faculty for Education is responsible for providing academic and strategic leadership, ensuring the effective functioning of the faculty, and overseeing the development, implementation, and quality assurance of academic programmes.
The role requires a strong commitment to excellence and community engagement, as well as the alignment of faculty operations with institutional strategic objectives.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Establishing SACAP's new Faculty of Education
Provide leadership in faculty strategy, academic planning, and quality assurance.
Ensure alignment with institutional goals, national education policies, and accreditation requirements.
Drive innovation and excellence in scholarship and research.
Foster strong industry and community engagement.
Oversee faculty operations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A relevant doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification.
Extensive experience in academic leadership and management.
Strong background in higher education governance, policy, and accreditation.
Experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and programme accreditation.
Proven track record in research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
Understanding of national education policies and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CHE).
Financial and human resource management experience.

This is a full-time position operating from Mondays to Fridays*:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
Friday: 08:30 - 16:00
