A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead financial strategy, governance, and performance across a multi-entity group environment.
This is a senior leadership role suited to a commercially astute finance professional who can drive financial excellence, manage risk, and support strategic business decision-making.


Purpose


You will be responsible for overseeing the full finance function across the group, ensuring strong financial performance, compliance, and governance while supporting business growth and strategy.


Key responsibilities include:

Financial Strategy & Performance


Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Reviewing and interpreting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
Monitoring financial performance and identifying cost optimisation opportunities
Providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making


Treasury & Risk Management


Managing treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity
Developing and maintaining currency hedging and risk management strategies
Monitoring financial risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place


Reporting, Compliance & Governance


Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all group entities
Maintaining compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies
Overseeing statutory compliance, including tax (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax)
Managing audit processes and maintaining relationships with external auditors
Ensuring compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements


Financial Controls & Operations


Ensuring strong internal controls across all finance processes
Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and credit control functions
Monitoring revenue and expense recognition and financial accuracy
Managing general ledger processes and financial reconciliations


Group Finance & Commercial Support


Managing transfer pricing policies and group tax structures
Overseeing R&D incentives and financial optimisation initiatives
Managing group insurance policies and financial risk exposure
Supporting commercial decision-making across business units
Liaising with stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to resolve financial matters


Leadership & Team Development


Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team
Driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
Building capability within the finance function to support business growth


What we want?
Key requirements:


CA(SA), CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior finance or leadership role
Strong experience in group finance, reporting, and multi-entity environments at a global level
Proven experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax, and financial governance


Experience with:


Treasury and cash flow management
Audit and compliance processes
Financial systems (e.g. Syspro or similar ERP systems)
Advanced MS Office skills
Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking ability
