Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
Provide strategic financial leadership aligned with organizational goals.
Develop and implement financial policies, plans, and long-term financial strategies.
Advise executive management on financial planning, budgeting, and investment decisions.
Financial Management & Reporting:
Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
Lead annual budgeting processes and periodic financial reviews.
Monitor expenditure and ensure cost optimization across departments.
Implement financial efficiency initiatives.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
Maintain adherence to accounting standards and corporate governance principles.
Cash Flow & Risk Management:
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Oversee treasury operations and banking relationships.
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise and develop finance team members.
Foster continuous professional development and high performance.
Promote ethical financial practices within the organization.
Stakeholder Communication:
Provide financial insights to senior management and board members.
Support decision-making through data-driven financial analysis.
Present financial performance reports clearly and effectively.
Qualifications
5 - 10 years of work experience.
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Must be a Chartered Accountant certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
