Role purpose:
The role is an end-to-end finance role which includes financial operations and FP&A.
The individual takes overall responsibility for all financial matters in the Group of companies, setting all forecasts, overseeing monthly financial reporting and all statutory audits / reporting.
The role also includes full working capital and cash management and maintain an appropriate control environment.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Financial Planning
Forecasts business performance into the future
Ensures inputs from all executives for financial planning
Guides the implementation of the business strategy based on insights from the financial planning
Financial operations
Oversees general accounting functions i.e. payroll, tax etc
Ensures robust control environment to deliver trusted, accurate and compliant financial environment

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
B.Com Accounting honours degree / CA(SA) or equivalent
At least 10 years financial management experience, preferably in a public enterprise
environment
ICT industry experience an advantage
5yrs Leadership experience
Governance custodian, to ensure all group policies, IFRS and companies act requirements are adhered to
Reviews financial policies and procedures
Oversees technical accounting projects within the Group like IFRS15
Manages financial reporting: Month-End, Year-End, Group Finance
Management Reporting
Reports to MD & Exco team on Group's key indicators for the month
Statutory reporting
Ensures finalisation of annual financial statements
Manages reporting to external auditors
Ensuring CIPC deadlines are adhered to
Control and Governance
Ensures compliance with financial year end processes
Operational Support
Ensures support with the consolidation of financial results
