Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and faith-driven Head of School to provide strategic leadership and oversee the academic, administrative, and operational functions of the institution.
The successful candidate will ensure excellence in teaching, learning, staff development, enrolment growth, and community engagement while maintaining the school's Christian values and standards.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Administration:


Provide strategic leadership and direction for the school.
Supervise teachers, caregivers, and administrative personnel.
Develop and implement policies that align with the school's mission and vision.
Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee day-to-day school operations.


Academic Management:


Ensure the effective delivery of the early years and primary school curriculum.
Monitor teaching quality and pupils' academic performance.
Introduce innovative teaching methods and learning strategies.
Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards.Human Resource Management
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff members.
Promote teamwork, professionalism, and staff development.
Conduct performance assessments and provide constructive feedback.


School Development and Growth:


Develop and implement strategies to increase pupil enrolment.
Strengthen relationships with parents and members of the community.
Represent the school at educational and community events.
Drive initiatives that support the achievement of organisational goals.


Financial and Operational Oversight:


Assist in budgeting and resource allocation.
Ensure the efficient management of school resources and facilities.
Monitor compliance with safety and operational standards.


Requirements

Educational Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
A master's degree in Educational Leadership or a related field will be an advantage.


Experience:


A minimum of five to seven years of leadership experience within the early years and primary education sector.
Demonstrable experience in staff supervision, curriculum management, and school administration.
Proven ability to increase enrolment and improve school performance.


Skills and Competencies:


Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication and organisational abilities.
Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of early childhood and primary education.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.


Personal Attributes:


Strong Christian faith and moral character.
Passion for child development and education.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Residence within, or close to, the Ajah/Lekki-Epe axis will be an added advantage.
