Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to drive health, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations.
The ideal candidate will ensure a safe working environment for staff, contractors, and host communities while supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards across all sites
Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits
Ensure compliance with Nigerian HSE regulations and company standards
Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
Deliver HSE inductions, trainings, and toolbox talks
Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements
Prepare regular HSE reports and performance metrics
Promote environmental sustainability and safe work practices
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Maintain zero workplace fatalities
Achieve <1.0 Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR)
Ensure 100% incident reporting within 24 hours
Deliver 295% HSE training compliance for staff and contractors
Maintain audit compliance Score
Achieve 298% PPE compliance across all sites
Close 295% Of corrective actions within agreed timelines
Requirements
Bachelor's degrec in Engineering. Environmental Science, or related field
2-4 years of HSE experience (energy, construction, or engineering preferred)
Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH) are an added advantage
Strong kno,vledge of HSE regulations and best practices
Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work across multiple project sites
