Job Summary
The Site Health & Safety Intern will be required to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and advise on minimizing hazards or unhealthy situations in the upcoming projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring proper use of PPEs by workers while conducting monitoring on compliance.
Raising daily concerns from issues on-site that may pose potential hazards.
Housekeeping/record keeping on site
Maintaining records of safety inventories
Eliminating physical hazards through the maintenance of good housekeeping.
Responsible for keeping a daily record of workers/employees on site on a daily basis.
Report writing
Write daily, weekly safety and health reports or injury logs and submit them to the Health and Safety officer.
Daily reporting of site compliance, incidents, and accidents reporting.
Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in occupational health & safety
Basic training in either First Aid, Fire Safety will be an added advantage
Proven/prior competency in handling safety/health aspects in a construction site.
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
NEBOSH certificate will be an added advantage
