Overview
The Heavy Duty Maintenance & operations Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the Company's day-to-day operational activities, with particular responsibility for truckmanagement, driver administration, vehicle and asset management, maintenance coordination, logistics, safety and operational efficiency.
The roleholder also will ensure that company vehicles, drivers, equipment and other operational assets are available, safe, compliant, properly utilized and maintained to support uninterrupted business operations.
The Operations Manager will also establish effective systems for monitoring vehicle performance, driver behaviour, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, asset utilization and operational risks, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and company requirements.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
5 - 8 years' relevant experience in operations, fleet management, logistics, transportation or asset management.
At least 5years in a supervisory or management role.
Demonstrable experience managing drivers and vehicle fleets.
Practical experience in vehicle maintenance coordination.
Experience managing operational assets and service providers.
Good knowledge of fleet documentation, vehicle compliance and safety requirements.
