Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious HIAB Driver to operate lorry-mounted cranes and transport heavy materials efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for both driving heavy-duty vehicles and operating the hydraulic crane for loading, unloading, and positioning goods at designated locations.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate HIAB (lorry-mounted crane) to lift, move, and position heavy materials
Drive heavy goods vehicles (HGV) to transport materials to and from project sites
Ensure all loads are properly secured before transportation
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and crane inspections
Perform basic maintenance checks and report faults promptly
Comply with all traffic regulations and workplace health & safety standards
Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and inspection reports
Coordinate with site personnel during loading and offloading operations
Requirements
Proven experience operating a HIAB or similar lorry-mounted crane
Valid driver's license
Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices
Ability to operate lifting equipment safely and efficiently
Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments
Strong attention to detail and safety
Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
