KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and present interesting and exciting History lessons.
Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and promotes engaged learning.
Behave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and students' homework.
Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
Offer academic support, on two afternoons per week and assist with two afternoons of extracurricular activities.
Produce resources of a high standard for students.
Show loyalty to all facets of Reddford House.
Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
Write report comments.
The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determines.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Skills and Previous Experience:
Confidence with the use of IT in teaching
Proven track record of teaching History
Previous experience with IEB Programme
A minimum of 4 years' experience will be advantageous
Boarding mentor expericence would also be beneficial
Qualifications and Accreditations:
University qualification
Certified Teaching Status
Personal Comptencies and Attirbutes:
