More About Him: He is a bright 10 year old with inattentive ADHD. He is not hyperactive or difficult, but can struggle with focus, organisation and staying on task. He benefits from a patient, structured and encouraging approach, with someone who can help him develop independence while keeping him accountable. He is currently receiving additional professional support.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00
School Holiday Hours: Same as above
Duties: The role will primarily involve homeschooling and supervising his academic work according to the Impaq CAPS curriculum, helping him remain focused, organised and on track with his studies.
The successful candidate will also assist with his daily routine, including preparing breakfast and snacks, managing school materials, transporting him to his various extra-murals and appointments, and facilitating educational and recreational activities.
Additional responsibilities will include light household administration, such as occasional errands, grocery shopping, organising his study/play areas, assisting with meal preparation and keeping on top of his daily schedule and requirements.
The role requires someone who is proactive and highly organised, able to work independently and communicate with the parents regarding his progress and daily needs. Ad hoc evening and weekend babysitting may be required with prior notice and will be paid additionally.
Special Requirements: We are looking for a mature, organised and proactive individual who can work independently and take initiative. The ideal candidate will be patient, structured, engaging and confident in supporting a child with inattentive ADHD, while also being warm and encouraging. Someone who is presentable, punctual, efficient and takes pride in their work is essential.
Strong organisational and communication skills are important, as the role involves managing his schoolwork, activities, appointments and daily requirements. The candidate should also be comfortable driving and managing a structured schedule.

Salary: R20 000 per month (Gross, before deductions)

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
Must have a clear criminal record
Must have a passion for children
Must have Matric
Must have a South African ID document.
