Chemo-Pharma Laboratories Ltd is a pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Lagos. We are seeking a dependable, well-organised HR/Administrative Officer to keep our office running smoothly and support our management and teams.

Job Summary

The HR/Administrative Officer will handle day-to-day office operations, documentation and communication, and will provide reliable support to management and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Functions


Recruitment & Onboarding: Post job vacancies, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and manage new-hire orientation and documentation.
Record Management: Maintain physical and digital personnel files, attendance registers, and leave/sickness tracking databases.
Payroll & Benefits Support: Gather attendance and leave data to assist the payroll department; administer staff benefits and insurance schemes.
Compliance & Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to national labor laws, safety standards, and internal company policies.
Employee Relations: Address staff inquiries regarding policies, handle grievance administration support, and assist with performance management and training coordination.


Administrative Operations


Facility & Asset Management: Oversee office maintenance, workspace safety, fleet/vehicle upkeep, and inventory of office supplies.
Vendor & Contractor Management: Liaise with external suppliers, service providers and vendors
Documentation & Reporting: Draft employment contracts, manage correspondence, and assist with specialised industry or import/administrative documentation where required.
Logistics & Travel: Coordinate staff travel arrangements, expense forms, and calendar/meeting schedules.


Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience: Typically 2 to 4+ years of cognate experience in an HR and administrative role, preferably within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
Certifications (Advantageous): Professional memberships or certifications such as CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management in Nigeria) or PHRi would be an added advantage


Skills & Competencies:


Strong knowledge of local labour laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR/Payroll software or ERP systems.
Exceptional organisational, multi-tasking, and time-management abilities.
High discretion and ability to handle confidential employee information.
Good written and verbal communication.
