Key Areas of Impact:
Recruitment
Provide support on the recruitment process for Warehouse and Store operation roles (seasonal peak students, Flexi-timers and General Sales Assistants) by advertising, screening CVs and scheduling interviews for Line Managers
Book shortlisted candidates for background risk checks
Conduct reference checks
Generate employee change letters and/or letters of appointment for successful candidates
Submit pre-employment and onboarding documents to Payroll through SharePoint
Payroll, Time & Attendance
Capture leave forms on CATS and ensure supporting documents are loaded for the relevant leave type
Extract timesheet report from BesTime on weekly basis, analyse and circulate to Supervisors for changes and/or approval
Compile monthly overtime report for approval and submit it to HR Officer for capturing
Initiate employee change workflows on SAP on behalf of Line Managers
Check the monthly Payroll variance and ensure accuracy of the report for Warehouse employees
Address all general queries received from employees relating to pay and benefits
HR & ER Administration
Maintain employee files for warehouse employees
Collate required documents for Department of Labour inspections
Collate individual performance agreements and capture performance ratings
Support learning & development initiatives (Bursary applications, Learnerships and other training)
Promote and make referrals to the employee assistance program, Lyra
Provide general ER support by assisting with investigations, recording minutes of union and management meetings, disciplinary enquiries and grievances
Update the ER tracker monthly
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
3 Years of HR Generalist experience
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:
A Degree/Diploma in HR required.
The ideal candidate will hold a Degree in HR.
Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:
ERP: SAP HR Module
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic Knowledge of relevant Labour Laws: Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act
Time and Attendance System: BestTime
