Key Responsibilities
Execute the end-to-end recruitment process including drafting job advertisements, screening applications, shortlisting candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating employee onboarding.
Maintain and regularly update employee records in HR databases and physical files, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
Coordinate performance management activities including probation reviews, annual appraisals, goal tracking, and performance documentation.
Provide guidance and support on disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with the Employment Act and internal HR policies.
Prepare and submit accurate payroll inputs including salary adjustments, deductions, and statutory submissions (PAYE, NHIF, NSSF).
Manage employee benefits administration, including leave tracking, welfare programs, and medical scheme enrollments.
Support organizational development initiatives such as training needs assessments, learning and development plans, and employee engagement programs.
Ensure legal compliance by conducting periodic HR audits and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Kenyan labor law changes.
Assist in coordinating HR policies and internal communications, ensuring employees are informed of updates and procedures.
Manage document control systems, including proper filing of HR records (digital and physical) in line with data protection best practices.
Support employee onboarding and exit processes, including clearance documentation and exit interviews.
Prepare HR reports and dashboards for management, including headcount, leave balances, recruitment status, and turnover analysis.
Assist in employee wellness and engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Support the HR team in handling employee inquiries, providing timely responses, and escalating complex issues as required.
Perform general HR administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, coordinating office logistics, and assisting in HR-related projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 2 - 3 years' proven experience in an HR role.
Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
