Role Summary

The HR Executive will play a critical role in driving day-to-day HR operations, payroll administration, and execution of key HR programs. This role requires a technically sound HR professional who can manage payroll and statutory processes while also supporting learning & development, employee engagement initiatives, performance management cycles, and basic employee relations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and operationally strong, with the ability to independently manage tasks while providing reliable support to senior HR leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll, Pension & Statutory Administration


Process monthly payroll with high accuracy and timeliness
Manage payroll inputs, validations, and reconciliations
Administer pension contributions and ensure timely remittances
Handle statutory deductions (PAYE, NHF, NSITF, etc.) and compliance
Maintain proper payroll and statutory documentation


HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management


Manage employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintain HR documentation, contracts, and employee files
Ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations and service delivery


HR Projects & Program Execution


Support and coordinate Learning & Development initiatives (trainings, tracking, logistics)
Assist in executing employee engagement programs and activities
Coordinate performance management cycles (appraisals, tracking, documentation)
Support implementation of HR policies, initiatives, and internal projects
Track progress and provide updates on HR initiatives


Employee Relations (Operational Level)


Handle basic employee relations matters (queries, concerns, clarifications)
Provide first-level guidance on HR policies and procedures
Escalate complex or sensitive issues appropriately
Support disciplinary processes documentation where required


HR Systems, Data & Reporting


Utilize HR systems such as Zoho Recruit, PaidHR, and HRIS platforms
Maintain accurate HR data and generate reports (headcount, payroll, attrition, etc.)
Use Excel for analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
Support process improvements and HR system optimization


Recruitment & Coordination Support


Support recruitment processes (job posting, scheduling, coordination via Zoho Recruit)
Ensure smooth candidate and onboarding experience


Requirements

Education & Experience


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5 - 6 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to:

Payroll and statutory administration
HR operations
Supporting HR programs (L&D, engagement, performance management)




Technical Competencies


Strong hands-on experience in payroll processing and administration
Solid understanding of pension and statutory remittances
Intermediate knowledge across HR functions (HR operations, L&D, employee relations, recruitment support)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation)
Familiarity with:

Zoho Recruit
PaidHR
Other HRIS/payroll systems
