S/he will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, which includes hiring, employee benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role will support the management of the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, reward management, and other Human Resources functions.


Key Responsibilities:


Recruitment and selection, facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, training, and development.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in the implementation of employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Support the Performance management process, especially employee performance reviews and execution of the company-wide bi-annual appraisal.
Facilitate employee training needs and gaps analysis, training plan, training scheduling, and notification to ITF, training reports, and post-training evaluation.
Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
Performs other duties as assigned.


Key Requirements:


Proven experience as an HR Assistant, HR Generalist.
Minimum of 1 - 3 years' HR experience, preferably in a construction environment.
Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
Advance knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems.
Desire to work as a team with a result-driven approach.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Additional HR training will be a plus.
Vast human resource experience with good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Good presentation skills and be an expert user of Microsoft Office Suite.
High ethical standards in his/ her dealings.
