On behalf of our client, a leading poultry production company, we are seeking to recruit a highly proactive, energetic, and detail-oriented Human Resource Intern based in Thika. The successful candidate will support day-to-day HR operations while gaining practical experience in recruitment, employee records management, onboarding, and general HR administration.
Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing, screening, and scheduling candidates for interviews.
Support employee onboarding and induction processes.
Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
Assist in attendance tracking and leave management.
Prepare HR documents, reports, and correspondence.
Support payroll data collection and verification processes.
Coordinate staff training and development activities.
Ensure proper filing and organization of employee documentation.
Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures.
Handle employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the HR department.
Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
Perform any other HR-related duties assigned by management.
Skills & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Recent graduate or currently awaiting graduation.
Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR practices will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Must be highly proactive, self-driven, and eager to learn.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Must be based in or willing to work in Thika.
