We are seeking a highly capable HR Manager to lead and strengthen the Human Resources function of a company in the renewable energy sector. The HR manager will provide strategic and operational leadership in developing, implementing, and sustaining people-focused systems, policies, and practices that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
The role holder shall ensure that the Company attracts, retains, and develops the right talent while promoting staff well-being, equity, and compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
The ideal candidate is someone with a solid HR background, people-centred leadership, and strategic HR support to a growing organization.


Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership & Strategy


Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with company objectives.
Provide HR advisory support to leadership on organizational structure, talent planning, and workforce development.
Lead initiatives to improve engagement, retention, productivity, and culture.


Staff Learning and Development


Develop and implement a comprehensive Learning and Development (L&D) strategy aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
Design and deliver training programs that reinforce and safeguard the organization's culture, values, and leadership expectations.
Lead the development of competency-based learning pathways and continuous professional development plans for all staff


Employee Relations & Welfare


Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees on HR matters.
Manage conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and grievance handling.
Promote a positive, inclusive work environment.


Performance Management & Development


Implement and maintain a performance framework aligned with organizational annual priorities, to create a high-performing team
Support managers with coaching, development conversations, and talent reviews.
Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives.


Compensation, Benefits & Compliance


Ensure compliance with Kenyan employment laws and statutory requirements.
Maintain employee records and oversee payroll inputs.
Recommend improvements to compensation and benefits structures.


Culture and Organizational Development


Partner with departmental heads to embed people and culture principles in all projects and operations.
Facilitate organizational change and transformation initiatives that enhance effectiveness and collaboration.
Support initiatives geared toward creating a positive, values-driven, and high-performing organizational culture.


HR Operations & Administration


Oversee day-to-day HR operations and team-lead the HR/Admin Assistant.
Manage onboarding, offboarding, leave management, contracts, and documentation.
Maintain accurate HR data and HR reporting.

Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Registration with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is an added advantage.
3-4+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
Solid understanding of Kenyan labour laws and HR compliance
Experience with performance management systems and HR policy development
Proven experience in recruitment/talent acquisition
Experience handling employee relations and disciplinary proc
