The successful candidate will work closely with management and other stakeholders to support effective people management and the consistent implementation of HR processes and practices.
The Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and processes.
Manage and maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HR databases, and other HR documentation.
Support recruitment activities, including sourcing, CV screening, candidate assessments, interviews, shortlisting, and interview coordination.
Liaise with hiring managers and relevant stakeholders to understand staffing requirements and support recruitment activities.
Coordinate onboarding, induction, probation, confirmation, and exit processes.
Prepare employment letters, HR correspondence, reports, trackers, and other HR documentation.
Support day-to-day employee relations and respond to routine HR enquiries.
Assist with leave, attendance, payroll inputs, and other employee administration.
Support the implementation of performance management processes and maintain relevant documentation.
Assist with employee engagement, welfare, training, and development initiatives.
Support the preparation of HR reports and provide accurate information for management decision-making.
Monitor employee documentation and HR processes to ensure they remain accurate, complete, and up to date.
Assist with HR audits, compliance activities, and internal reviews.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement when handling employee and organizational information.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, templates, and overall employee experience.
Stay informed about current HR practices, workplace trends, and developments relevant to the Nigerian employment environment.
Provide general HR support across different assignments and priorities as required.
Requirement
Bachelor's degree/HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' professional HR experience.
Good understanding of general HR operations and the employee lifecycle.
Practical experience in recruitment and candidate assessment.
Experience in onboarding, employee administration, employee relations, performance management, or related HR functions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, recruitment platforms, HR databases, and other digital HR tools.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with different stakeholders.
Good problem-solving skills, discretion, and professional judgement.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
