Job Purpose
The HR & Operations Supervisor will oversee the human resource and administrative functions of the clinic while ensuring smooth coordination and efficient workflow across all operational units.
The role is responsible for managing recruitment, employee relations, staff performance, policy implementation, and operational procedures to maintain high service quality and excellent patient experience.
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills with a minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources and operations management within a healthcare, chiropractic, wellness, or similar clinical environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day HR and administrative operations of the clinic to ensure smooth and efficient workflow across all departments.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and employee exit processes in line with organizational policies.
Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Manage employee records, attendance, leave administration, and other HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
Coordinate staff performance appraisals, probation reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
Identify staff training and development needs and coordinate learning programs to improve employee performance.
Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to employees to promote a productive and positive work environment.
Handle employee relations, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and grievance management professionally.
Communicate organisational updates, expectations, and management directives effectively to all staff.
Prepare and submit routine HR, administrative, and operational reports to management.
Supervise front desk and administrative operations to ensure excellent patient service and customer satisfaction.
Ensure proper documentation, filing systems, and accurate record management are maintained.
Monitor compliance with clinic policies, labour regulations, health and safety standards, and workplace procedures.
Supervise financial documentation and administrative reports prepared by the Account Officer/Accountant before submission to management.
Monitor the proper use, maintenance, and accountability of clinic resources, equipment, and operational materials.
Ensure effective inventory management and proper handling of clinic supplies.
Oversee cleanliness, sanitation, maintenance activities, and facility upkeep to maintain a safe and professional clinic environment.
Support management in driving employee engagement, productivity, and continuous improvement across the clinic.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, or any related field.
Minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources and administrative/operations management, preferably within a clinic, healthcare facility, hospital, chiropractic, physiotherapy, wellness Centre, or med spa environment.
Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Strong leadership, people management, and team supervision skills.
Sound knowledge of HR policies, Nigerian labour laws, and performance management practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, staff coordination, and administrative operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and HR/administrative reporting systems.
Strong attention to detail, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Positive attitude, sound judgment, and the ability to manage workplace challenges effectively.
