We are looking for a smart, proactive, and people-driven HR/Recruitment Officer who can help us recruit fast, onboard new staff properly, support company culture, and ensure our team remains disciplined, motivated, and productive.
Role Summary
The HR/Recruitment Officer will be responsible for managing recruitment, onboarding, staff records, attendance, HR documentation, staff engagement, and basic performance support.
This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, organized, great with people, and able to work in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
Create and post job vacancies on job platforms, social media, WhatsApp groups, LinkedIn, and other recruitment channels.
Source candidates for roles across customer service, logistics, marketing, operations, warehouse, admin, and sales.
Screen CVs and applications.
Call and interview applicants.
Schedule interviews with department heads and management.
Prepare interview questions and candidate assessment forms.
Maintain a recruitment tracker showing applicants, interview stages, selected candidates, and rejected candidates.
Follow up with shortlisted and successful candidates.
Prepare offer letters and employment documents.
Onboarding & Training Support
Welcome new staff and guide them through the onboarding process.
Ensure new employees understand company rules, culture, values, and expectations.
Coordinate staff documentation and file setup.
Work with team leads to ensure new staff receive proper role-specific training.
Track probation periods and remind management when reviews are due.
Culture & Staff Engagement
Support a culture of speed, ownership, discipline, accountability, teamwork, and customer obsession.
Help organize staff recognition, birthday celebrations, team bonding, and performance shoutouts.
Encourage positive communication across teams.
Identify staff issues early and escalate when necessary.
Support management in keeping the team motivated and focused.
Attendance, Discipline & HR Administration
Monitor daily attendance, lateness, absenteeism, and leave requests.
Maintain updated staff records and HR files.
Prepare basic HR documents such as offer letters, warning letters, confirmation letters, and exit forms.
Assist with enforcing company policies and workplace standards.
Support disciplinary processes when required.
Performance Support
Work with department heads to track staff performance and probation progress.
Help ensure every staff member has clear responsibilities and expectations.
Collect weekly updates from team leads on staff performance, attitude, and discipline.
Identify underperforming staff and escalate to management.
Requirements
Minimum of HND/Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of experience in recruitment, HR, admin, or people operations.
Experience in e-commerce, retail, logistics, customer service, or a fast-paced startup is an added advantage.
Strong communication and people skills.
Ability to recruit quickly and manage multiple vacancies at the same time.
Very organized and detail-oriented.
Good knowledge of Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and basic HR tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must be proactive, disciplined, confidential, and trustworthy.
