Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to oversee and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards within our plastic manufacturing facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing workplace risks.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct risk assessment and develops HSE gap analysis for the company.
Daily check on cleaning of environment.
Ensure that HSE signage is effectively displayed as a guide to both staff and visitors.
Ensure safety meetings and follows-up on outstanding, safety issues as necessary.
Ensure compliance with the established hygiene and sanitation requirements throughout the factory daily weekly inspection and monitory.
Prepare and issues HSE information/guideline to internal stakeholders as necessary.Identify potential hazards, risks and dangers.
Investigate incidents.
Make recommendations regarding health and safety.
Ensure staff participation in quarterly health safety and environmental training program.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in an HSE role within a manufacturing or industrial environment (plastic manufacturing experience is an advantage)
Degree or HND in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field
Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISPON, IOSH) are highly desirable
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation
Excellent communication and training skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and enforce safety standards confidently.
