We are seeking a reliable, organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the day-to-day human resource functions of the organization. The successful candidate will assist with HR administration, employee records, attendance and leave management, payroll support, recruitment and general employee-related matters.

This is an opportunity for an HR professional with practical experience who is looking to further develop and apply their skills in a dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration


Maintain and update employee records, contracts and personnel files.
Assist in preparing HR letters, memos, reports and other documentation.
Support the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.


Attendance and Leave Management


Monitor and maintain employee attendance records.
Track leave applications, balances and related documentation.
Prepare attendance and leave reports as required.


Payroll Support


Assist in compiling payroll information, including attendance, overtime and other relevant payroll inputs.
Ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted on time.
Respond to routine employee payroll queries and escalate complex matters where necessary.


Recruitment and Onboarding


Assist with job advertisements and initial screening of applicants.
Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates.
Assist with the preparation of onboarding documentation and induction of new employees.


Employee Support and HR Coordination


Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR-related queries.
Assist in employee welfare and engagement activities.
Support communication between HR and other departments.
Assist with other HR-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience


Diploma or equivalent qualification in Human Resource Management.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in HR, preferably covering HR administration, employee records, payroll support and recruitment.
CHRP (K) qualification or ongoing studies will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of HR administration, payroll processes and employment practices in Kenya.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy, discretion and attention to detail.
