Job Summary


The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's human resources operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws.
The role ensures that the hotel attracts, retains, and develops qualified personnel who deliver excellent service in alignment with the hotel's culture, policies, and brand standards.


Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing:


Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for all departments.
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processesadvertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
Ensure staffing levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
Work closely with department heads to identify manpower requirements and succession plans.


Employee Relations & Engagement:


Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
Handle employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions in line with company policies and labor laws.
Conduct regular staff meetings, employee satisfaction surveys, and engagement activities.
Promote the hotel's culture, values, and brand ethos through employee engagement programs.


Performance Management:


Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to evaluate staff performance and identify improvement areas.
Work with department heads to set performance goals and KPIs.
Monitor and guide managers on handling underperformance and employee development plans.


Training & Development:


Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs for all departments.
Implement orientation and onboarding programs for new employees.
Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and maintain training records.
Encourage career growth, internal promotions, and skill enhancement across teams.


Compliance & Policy Management:


Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and hotel policies.
Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and documentation.
Update and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and disciplinary procedures.
Manage staff attendance, leave, and timekeeping systems.


HR Strategy & Reporting:


Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the hotel's operational goals.
Prepare monthly HR reports including staff turnover, recruitment status, and training metrics.
Advise management on HR trends, workforce planning, and policy improvements.


Qualifications & Experience


B.Sc.in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5years' HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations in a hotel or service-oriented environment.

Sound knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in the hospitality industry.

Administer employee payroll, benefits, and incentive programs in collaboration with the Finance Department.
Review and recommend competitive compensation structures in line with market standards.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of salary, leave, and statutory deductions.
