Job Purpose:

The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for supporting and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives in a manufacturing environment. The role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance,payroll coordination, and ensuring smooth HR operations within the factory setup.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Selection


Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes.
Advertise vacancies, shortlist candidates, and conduct interviews.
Facilitate onboarding and induction for new employees.


Employee Relations


Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
Prepare show cause letters, warning letters, and disciplinary documentation.
Support conflict resolution and maintain harmonious employee relations.


Performance Management


Coordinate performance appraisal processes.
Monitor probation confirmations and contract renewals.
Support supervisors in managing employee performance issues.


Payroll & Benefits Administration


Prepare payroll inputs including overtime, leave, and deductions.
Ensure statutory deductions are processed accurately.
Maintain employee benefits records.


Compliance & Labor Laws


Ensure compliance with labor laws and manufacturing regulations.
Maintain updated employee records and statutory documentation.
Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies when required.


HR Administration


Maintain up-to-date employee files and HR systems.
Manage leave records and attendance tracking.
Prepare HR reports as required.


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar HR role.
Must have experience working in a manufacturing industry.
Membership with a relevant professional HR body (added advantage).
Strong knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
