Role Description
The Human Resources Legal Manager will oversee HR policies, employee relations, and employment-law compliance to ensure the organization operates in line with Kenyan labor laws and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor and employment laws.
Advise management on HR-related legal and employee matters.
Manage disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations processes.
Ensure legally compliant recruitment, onboarding, and employment documentation.
Conduct HR compliance audits and maintain required documentation.
Deliver training on HR policies, employment law, and compliance.
Liaise with external legal counsel when required.
Prepare HR compliance reports and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
8 - 10 years of experience in HR, HR Legal, or a related management role.
Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan Labor and Employment Law and HR compliance.
Proven experience in employee relations, disciplinary and grievance management.
Strong HR policy development and implementation experience.
Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and professionalism.
HR or legal professional certification is an added advantage.
