The School ICT Instructor delivers age-appropriate ICT training to students in New Horizons' School department, covering computer literacy, basic programming concepts, digital safety, and productivity tools. This role focuses on building strong technology fundamentals for younger learners as part of their broader school curriculum.

Responsibilities
Deliver ICT lessons aligned with the school curriculum and student age group
Teach computer literacy, keyboarding, and basic office productivity tools
Introduce foundational programming concepts through beginner-friendly tools
Cover internet safety, digital citizenship, and responsible technology use
Assess student progress through classwork, quizzes, and practical exercises
Coordinate with school administrators on curriculum pacing and reporting
Maintain instructional facilities used for training and ensure the safety of students
Research and recommend learning systems
Conduct specific training for the trainee
Give projects to students to test what has been learned
Evaluate the effectiveness of each training session
Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching ICT or computer studies to school-age students
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer operations
Patient, engaging teaching style suited to younger learners
Basic familiarity with beginner programming tools (e.g. Scratch) is a plus
Good classroom management skills
BSc/HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or its equivalent
Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
Graphics skills will be an added advantage (Photoshop or CorelDraw)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organization and multi-tasking abilities
Post NYSC experience in teaching will be an added advantage
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, NCE, or diploma in Education, Computer Science, or related field
Teaching certification or prior classroom experience preferred
Experience with school-age curricula is an advantage
