Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, The ICT Manager will oversee all aspects of information technology and systems within the hospital, ensuring that technology infrastructure and digital health systems are aligned with the hospital's strategic objectives. The role will focus on ensuring reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of IT services, while supporting clinical, administrative, and patient care processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
	Lead IT planning to support strategic initiatives including digital transformation.
	Develop and implement the hospital's IT strategy aligned with clinical and operational goals.
	Advise management on emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and reduce operational costs.
	Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of hospital IT systems including EMR (Electronic Medical Records), HIS (Hospital Information Systems), and billing systems.
	Ensure robust, secure, and scalable Data, video and Voice network infrastructure across all departments.
	Implement cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with the Kenya data protection act.
	Lead the implementation of new systems or upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical services.
	Manage vendor relationships, software licenses, and IT procurement with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
	Manage the IT support team to provide timely technical support across departments.
	Develop and conduct IT training programs for staff to promote digital literacy and efficient use of systems. Prepare and manage the IT department budget; and
	Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through system optimization
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
	Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
	Minimum of 7 years' experience in IT management, with at least 2 years in a healthcare setting.
	Experience with hospital management software systems.
	Strong knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity, data backup, and recovery systems.
	Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
