Basic Salary: Kshs 44,000 (Minimum) - Kshs.78,920 (Maximum)
Job Purpose:
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail: -
Duties and Responsibilities
Repairing ICT equipment and associated peripherals;
Receiving and installing ICT equipment;
Configuring new ICT equipment;
Performing routine systems, application and network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control of records;
Configuring and testing of computer hardware and software n including network appliances;
Installing of server software and upgrading of existing servers;
Performing routine offsite backups for NCPD critical data testing and drills;
Patch management on applications, systems and appliances;
Website design and maintenance;
Setup and maintenance of applications including Email, ERP and database;
Managing helpdesk application and generation of quarterly reports;
Installing necessary hardware and software upgrades into ICT network;
Documenting and reporting on standards, compliance including ISO, RISK Assessment, PC;
Monitoring network performance; and
Maintaining support systems and training of users.
Requirements for Appointments
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
Proficiency in information communication related field such as information security, system development, programming and networking;
