Job Summary

To assist the ICT Manager in planning, implementing, and maintaining all ICT systems and infrastructure within the hospital, ensuring smooth operations, data security, and reliable support services to enhance patient care and hospital efficiency.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

ICT Operations


Oversee day-to-day ICT operations, ensuring systems (including HMIS and enterprise applications) support efficient service delivery.
Perform routine system checks, troubleshooting, and user support to maintain optimal functionality.


Infrastructure Management


Manage ICT infrastructure (servers, networks, hardware, and software) to ensure reliability and minimal downtime.
Implement cybersecurity controls and preventive maintenance to safeguard systems and data.


ICT Support


Provide timely helpdesk support by resolving user issues and ensuring smooth operation of ICT equipment.
Support users through installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.


Quality & Compliance


Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security while maintaining proper documentation and audit-ready records.
Support reporting, data analysis, and compliance with ICT standards and hospital policies.


Capacity Building


Support ICT projects, procurement processes, and system improvements to enhance efficiency.
Facilitate staff training, mentorship, and user orientation on ICT systems and security awareness.


Qualifications& Experience


A Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Communications Technology (ICT) or a related field from a recognized institution.
A minimum of two (2) years relevant experience preferably in a healthcare setting.
Relevant ICT certifications (ITIL,CCNA, CISSP, PMP, Healthcare IT).


Technical and Behavioral Skills


Proficiency in LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, server administration, and general ICT infrastructure management.
Experience in Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery.
Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, access controls, and data protection to ensure system and patient data security.
Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues; installation and maintenance of ICT equipment (computers, printers etc)
