Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the organization's financial health through effective planning, compliance, and control processes.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date company financial records.
Prepare, process, and manage payroll, ensuring timely salary payments and correct statutory deductions.
Review and clean financial data (account scrubbing) to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank and ledger reconciliation.
Handle taxation processes, including preparation and filing of tax returns in compliance with regulations.
Manage PAYE (Pay As You Earn) and ensure proper remittance to relevant authorities.
Develop and monitor budgets to support organizational financial planning.
Conduct financial forecasting and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
Prepare financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Support internal controls and assist in audit processes.
Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-3 years experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Work Environment:
Office-based role with standard working hours.
May require extended hours during audits or financial reporting periods.
