Job Description
The In-Season Designer follows approved direction from the senior designers and line manager, helping the team move products forward accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
Prepare and update tech packs.
Check artwork placement, scale, colour and product details.
Make sure the correct artwork files, PDFs and versions are used.
Update product boards and review boards.
Action approved graphic and product changes.
Keep working files, final files and samples organised.
Support housekeeping, version control and file naming.
Help the team meet tech-pack deadlines and critical path dates.
Flag missing or unclear information before it causes delays.
KEY SKILLS
CAD skills.
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience.
Good understanding of garments, fabrics, trims and tech packs.
Strong attention to detail.
Good organisation and housekeeping.
Clear communication and follow-through.
Ability to work under direction and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Extensive experience creating and updating tech packs, CADs, technical drawings, artwork layouts, and product specifications for apparel development.
Experienced in managing tech pack deadlines, critical path timelines, sample approvals, and supplier communication to keep product development on track.
Fashion Design, Clothing Management or related qualification.
2-3 years CAD experience.
Tech-pack experience.
Retail, fashion, product development or licensing experience would be advantageous.
