Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our industrial canteen team, serving a large number of daily diners. The ideal candidate must be strong, disciplined, and experienced in bulk cooking.


Key Responsibilities


Prepare large quantities of meals (rice, beans, soups, stews, proteins, etc.)
Ensure consistent taste and quality in all meals
Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
Work with a ticket/portion control system
Assist in menu planning and food preparation scheduling
Minimize food waste and manage ingredients efficiently
Work effectively under pressure during peak hours
Supervise kitchen assistants when necessary,


Requirements


Proven experience as a cook in a canteen, restaurant, or catering service
Must have experience cooking for 100+ people daily
Good knowledge of Nigerian dishes
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety
Ability to work early shifts (including weekends if required)
Must be reliable, honest, and hardworking
Physically fit and able to handle bulk cooking


Added Advantage:


Experience in an industrial canteen setup
Ability to manage kitchen assistants
Knowledge of portion control and cost management


Important:
